About the Business

Our Community and Aboriginal Partnerships Division helps to build community safety and wellbeing by providing support and services to children, young people and families, including those involved with the youth justice system, remote Aboriginal communities, and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The division also supports DHS's Closing the Gap commitments. 

Role Details

The Senior Business Support Officer - Admin is a role within Youth Justice and is accountable to the Team Leader, Administration for:
• providing an efficient, effective, and comprehensive customer support to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Business
• providing a high quality of service relating to financial support
• providing a high level of service relating to human resources support
• contributing to the development and review of local business practices and procedures
• liaising with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain productive working relationships
• assisting the Team Leader, Administration in administrative matters and projects as required.

Having experience with Basware, EMS, organising/arranging travel, fleet management and petty cash would be desirable. Proficiency with public sector administrative systems and Microsoft Suite particularly Excel would also be highly regarded.

Special Conditions

National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Will be required to work at various locations (Adelaide CBD and Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre) on a rotational basis.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Duration: Term up to seven (7) months.
