Here at the Department of Human Services (DHS), we strive to deliver modern programs, services and policy that strengthen communities and enable South Australians to actively participate in community life. With people at the heart of what we do and a commitment to child safety, ageing well and supporting people with disability, we work to increase inclusion, independence and decision-making, and help our communities when it matters most.

About the Business

The Community and Partnerships division delivers a wide range of funding, programs and strategic initiatives that strengthen the capacity and wellbeing of South Australian communities. This includes oversight of Grants SA, Community Programs and Partnerships, Gambling Harm Support SA and Community Connections.

While this role is based with Community and Partnerships, it works across the Department for Human Services (DHS), connecting a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Role Details

As the Product Owner for the Funding Central system, you’ll play a key role in how DHS works with the community sector. This is a chance to shape a platform that supports streamlined funding processes and helps DHS make better use of the data it collects. If you care about good product design, strong governance, and helping people navigate change, this role gives you the opportunity to make a real impact. In this position, you’ll lead the strategic direction of DHS’s Funding Central Salesforce platform. You’ll define the roadmap, and make sure the system is secure, compliant, and aligned with best practice funding and grant management. You’ll guide improvements, uphold configuration standards, and ensure each release delivers value for users and stakeholders. Building strong relationships will be central to your success.
