Disability Services delivers rights-based, person-centred supports to people with disability across South Australia, helping them live independently at home and in the community. They provide direct services funded through the NDIS, aged care and state programs, and are responsible for service quality, safeguarding, compliance, incident management and continuous improvement, supported by strong operational systems aligned to individual client needs.

Lead the strategic direction of practice quality and specialised services to strengthen outcomes for people supported by our services across South Australia. As Director, Practice Quality and Specialised Services, you will shape clinical governance, service delivery and contemporary practice across Disability and Specialised Services (DASS), ensuring services are safe, responsive, evidence based and aligned with regulatory requirements and organisational priorities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Disability and Specialised Services, you will provide executive leadership across practice quality, clinical governance and specialised services, driving contemporary practice and service excellence across DASS.

You will lead a diverse multidisciplinary portfolio, strengthen workforce capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement, research and professional excellence. Working collaboratively across government, community and sector partners, you will drive innovation, quality outcomes and integrated service responses that support people with disability to live the lives they choose.

Key attributes and experience include:

• Essential clinical qualifications in allied health or nursing, with significant leadership experience in disability, health, clinical or human services.

• Expertise in clinical and practice governance, quality, safeguarding and continuous improvement.

• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, build workforce capability and drive organisational change.

• Strong strategic thinking, risk management, governance and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience building effective partnerships across government, community and sector stakeholders, including within the NDIS environment.

• A commitment to contemporary, rights-based and person-centred practice that delivers meaningful outcomes for people with disability.

Essential Qualifications:
