About the Business

Our Safer Family Services team delivers a range of services, including intensive family support and multi-agency responses, to help children stay safely at home with their families and avoid the need for out-of-home care. They also help families with parenting support, workshops and connection to community events and initiatives to improve child safety and wellbeing.

Role Details

The Team Leader, Community Development and Engagement is a role within Child and Family Support and is accountable to the Manager, Partnerships and Integrated Practice for:
• providing leadership and direct line management to Senior Community Development Coordinators and overseeing the Community Development and Engagement Program (CDEP) connected to Safer Family Services (SFS) within Child and Family Support (CFS)
• overseeing the development and service delivery of community programs and projects that are aligned to the Child and Family Support System (CFSS) and ensuring they are contemporary and abreast of CFSS service needs based on proven evidence and data, whilst working within an allocated budget
• leading and guiding the implementation of significant statewide projects and workshops that contribute towards SFS Family Support Services (FSS) priorities and outcomes, within the strategic context of the CFSS.

Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Duration: Term up to two (2) years.
