About the Business
The Office for the Prevention of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence is a dedicated unit established to lead the whole-of government engagement with, and response to, the Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence. This involves coordinating functions that include sector engagement and supporting lived-experience participation.
Role Details
The Senior Project and Policy Officer is a role within the Office of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence and is accountable to the Manager, Prevention and Partnerships.
The role is responsible for leading and supporting the design, implementation and coordination of primary prevention initiatives, with a strong focus on:
• delivering strategy priorities across awareness campaigns, place-based initiatives, and system reform
• strengthening partnerships across government, community, media, workplaces and key sectors
• supporting evidence-based approaches that address the drivers of violence, including gender inequality, harmful norms and unequal power structures.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Must hold a current Australian issued Driver's Licence (equivalent to minimum class 'C' - South Australian).
Must be willing to drive all government vehicles within their licence classification during the course of their duties.
Duration: Term up to two (2) years.

Screening Checks
If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check,
which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the
South Australia Police
or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS,
including periodic assessment during your employment.
