About the Business
This Directorate leads whole-of-government system reform to improve women's equality, safety and wellbeing and to prevent and respond to domestic, family and sexual violence in South Australia. They bring together the Office for Women and the Office for the Prevention of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence to deliver the state's agenda on gender equality and violence prevention, coordinate cross-government and sector reform, and implement key strategies, legislation and national partnership commitments.
Role Details
The Senior Project Officer is a role within the Women’s Equality and DFSV System Reform and is accountable to the Clinical Lead, DFSV System Reform, for:
• supporting the implementation of initiatives related to DFSV Royal Commission recommendations and monitoring the progress of system elements, including integrated responses to people using violence, adult victim-survivors and children and young people
• establishing and maintaining comprehensive and effective systems, processes and communication strategies to support continuous improvement in DFSV System Reform practices
• supporting policy and program design and service delivery across the portfolio, ensuring reforms are trauma informed, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of children and young people
• providing high level project/policy advice and stakeholder engagement support on a broad range of issues that affect the status of women, including legislative reform.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Must hold a current Australian issued Driver’s Licence (equivalent to minimum class ‘C’ – South Australian).
Duration: Term up to eighteen (18) months.

Screening Checks
If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check,
which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the
South Australia Police
or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS,
including periodic assessment during your employment.
