About the Business

Our Community and Aboriginal Partnerships Division helps to build community safety and wellbeing by providing support and services to children, young people and families, including those involved with the youth justice system, remote Aboriginal communities, and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The division also supports DHS's Closing the Gap commitments.

We are seeking a passionate community-focussed individual to join our team in the beautiful and culturally rich APY Lands.  This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes, build strong relationships and be part of a supportive team working alongside communities and other stakeholders.

The Project Officer, APY Lands is a role within Community and Aboriginal Partnerships and is accountable to the Senior Project Officer, APY Lands for:
• leading the day-to-day operations and site administration of the Mimili Maku Accommodation Centre and Mimili Laundromat in a range of functions including visitor management, bookings and supporting staff
• maintaining and supporting the delivery of programmed and responsive repairs and maintenance to facilities and assets

Special Conditions

National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Duration: Term up to twelve (12) months.
