About the Business
Our Disability Division provides valuable support to the South Australian community through direct service delivery, inclusion policy and sector reform work. As a registered NDIS provider, they supervise and help with everyday tasks to support people living with disability to live as independently as possible. The division also encompasses quality and clinical services and the DHS Equipment Program.
Role Details
The Billing & Claiming Officer is a role within Financial Reform and is accountable to the Billing & Claiming Team Leader for:
• providing support services within Lumary (CRM system) to bill and claim billable hours funded by the NDIS for services provided to Disability Services’ clients;
• assisting and supporting with reconciling revenue received (General Ledger) for claims made in the NDIS Portal;
• assisting in creating planned-managed and self-managed invoices including debt management;
• assisting with client vendor set-up, generation of claims, raising invoices through Shared Services SA (SSSA) and invoice enquiries from clients, families and Plan Managers;
• supporting the Finance Billing and Claiming team to achieve business unit objectives; and
• contributing to the effective maintenance of relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Role Status: Term up to 03/07/2026.

Screening Checks
If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check,
which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the
South Australia Police
or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS,
including periodic assessment during your employment.
