About the Business
Our System Stewardship Directorate is responsible for policy, strategy and innovation projects that support the Child and Family Support System by working inclusively with sector partners and across the Division.
Role Details
The Senior Aboriginal Project Officer is a role within Child and Family Support and is accountable to the Principal Aboriginal Project Officer for:
• developing, implementing and evaluating significant projects and programs that align to major, complex policy issues based on proven evidence and contemporary service design and research
• consulting and liaising with key stakeholders to maintain effective collaborations and a network of strategic alliances across government
• contributing to activities that ensure the work of the Child and Family Support System (CFSS) is culturally safe and accountable
• contributing to the design and implementation of cultural governance mechanisms across Child and Family Support (CFS)
• supporting the identification and development of strategies, policy and practice that further advance the implementation of quality services to Aboriginal children and families that align with departmental and Aboriginal community needs.
Special Conditions

Aboriginal Employment Register check conducted.
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Must comply with any order, direction, policy or procedure of the Chief Executive or delegate to receive vaccinations.
Duration: Term up to nine (9) months.

Screening Checks
If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check,
which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the
South Australia Police
or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS,
including periodic assessment during your employment.
