About the Business

Our Safer Family Services team delivers a range of services, including intensive family support and multi-agency responses, to help children stay safely at home with their families and avoid the need for out-of-home care. They also help families with parenting support, workshops and connection to community events and initiatives to improve child safety and wellbeing.

Role Details

The Supervisor, Multi-Agency Protection Service is a role within Child and Family Support and is accountable to the Manager, Partnerships and Integrated Practice for:
• Providing high-quality Multi-Agency Protection Service (MAPS) guidance and support to government and non-government agencies, including staff and leadership with the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Department for Education (DfE) as well as Catholic Education SA (CESA) and Association of Independent Schools (AISSA) leadership if/as appropriate.
• Utilising the MAPS Summary Document to inform evidence-based practice to address the impact of trauma on children and young people.
• Undertaking professional duties supporting MAPS participation and outcomes of a complex, innovative and proactive nature with limited to no professional direction in a context of ambiguity.
• Providing high-level, evidence-based advice on critical issues to a range of senior executive staff, including Chief Executives and Ministers within required timelines.

Special Conditions

National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Must comply with any order, direction, policy or procedure of the Chief Executive or delegate to receive vaccinations.

Essential Qualifications:
An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
