About the Business

Our Finance, Digital and Customer Support Division oversees the department's budget and financial compliance responsibilities, its infrastructure and assets portfolio, as well as procurement and quality assurance functions, digital, data and technology and screening and financial transformation programs. They provide support and strategic advice across the department regarding a range of DHS goals, systems and processes. 

Role Details

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and highly professional Executive Assistant who thrives in a busy executive environment. You will have demonstrated experience providing high‑level administrative and executive support to senior leaders, with strong organisational and time‑management skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. You will bring a strong level of attention to detail, well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, and the discretion required to manage confidential and sensitive matters.

About the Role

The Executive Assistant is a key role within Finance, Digital and Corporate Supports, providing high‑level executive and administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Division Directors. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Office of the CFO. This includes managing competing priorities, coordinating meetings and correspondence, preparing high‑quality documentation, and providing timely and accurate advice on a wide range of matters.

What We’re Looking For


We are seeking an organised, proactive and highly professional Executive Assistant who thrives in a busy executive environment. You will demonstrate experience providing executive or high-level administrative support to senior leaders, strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. high attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to follow procedures and identify and correct errors. You will have well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, high levels of discretion and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters appropriately with a strong initiative and the ability to work independently while supporting broader team objectives. You will have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to adapt to new systems and technologies.
