About the Business

The Office for Women (OfW) is part of the Women’s Equality and Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence System Reform division and works collaboratively with the Office for the Prevention of Domestic Family and Sexual Violence. The OfW promotes gender equity and positive change for women in South Australia through collaboration with government and community groups. The OfW develops policy and advice to support informed decision-making on issues affecting women, improving their safety, wellbeing, and economic security.

Role Details

The Business Support Officer is a role within the Office for Women and is accountable to the Business Manager for:
• providing support in budget and financial management including data collection and analysis and conduct financial audits
• providing support in managing human resource documents including staff contracts, recruitment and processing of payroll documentation
• providing a range of administrative support services which contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the Office for Women
• the coordination of briefings and ministerial responses for Ministers and the Chief Executive including providing timely advice on the various briefing processes to be utilised and the appropriate recording and monitoring of responses
• supporting the development and implementation of various policy and strategy initiatives including undertaking data collection, research, finance and preparing reports or correspondence.

Special Conditions

National Police Check required.
Duration: Term up to eight (8) months.
