About the Business
Business Improvement and Technology is responsble for enabling the department and its operations to deliver its services through the provision and governance of information management, systems, data and technology. Their goal is to provide our employees with the tools they need to do their jobs effectively while making it simplier for the community to access the information they need.
Role Details
The Cyber Risk and Compliance Specialist is a role within Finance and Business Services and is accountable to the Manager, Cyber Risk, Architecture and Governance for:
• Supporting the development and implementation of the Department of Human Services’ Cyber Security Program.
• Providing professional security-related expertise in a security consulting, advisory, analysis and facilitating capacity.
• Providing technical security leadership as an information security subject matter expert.
• Supporting managers across DHS business, system owners and users throughout DHS in making sound, informed, security choices.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.

Screening Checks
If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check,
which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the
South Australia Police
or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS,
including periodic assessment during your employment.
