About the Business
People and Partnerships empower leaders and teams to build a safe, capable and engaged workforce by providing advice and services across people management, workforce relations and change, wellbeing and safety, investigations and career support. They help the department to manage risk and support staff through complex matters so they can do their best work for South Australians.
Role Details
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated individual to make an impact providing recovery and return to work support services for a safe and sustainable work environment by delivering the following:
• identifying and negotiating suitable alternative placements for work injured and excess employees
• establishing and maintaining the reporting requirements for excess employees as determined by the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment
• compiling and analysing statistical data and formulating reports on human resources activity, including excess employees and targeted/voluntary separation packages
• preparing and developing briefings, reports, correspondence, and other documentation in relation to work injured and excess employees
• undertaking and delivering human resource (HR) related special projects and programs
• applying early intervention measures in response to reported incidents and workers compensation claims
• providing comprehensive return to work services, including the development and implementation of recovery / return to work plans.

National Police Clearance Check
Duration: Term up to two (2) years
Essential Qualifications
Incumbent should be a certified Return to Work Coordinator (as per the Return-to-Work Act 2014).

Screening Checks
If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check,
which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the
South Australia Police
or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS,
including periodic assessment during your employment.
