Role Details

The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Infection Prevention and Control is a role within Disability Services and is accountable to the Nursing Services Manager for:

· Provision of clinical nursing expertise and care in their area of practice for clients across a range of settings both community and residential within Disability Services.
· Provision of clinical leadership, supervision and expert advice in area of advanced practice to other nurses and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
· Coordination and leadership of improvements to outcomes of care through their clinical expertise.

· Our Nursing Services Team is growing, and we are looking for experienced nurses to join our team.
· Looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to provide advanced clinical expertise in the area of Infection Prevention and Control
· Use your nursing skills and experience to support people with disability to lead their best lives.

Special Conditions

National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).

Essential Qualifications:
Registered as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and holds or is eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
Must have completed a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) approved program of study or the NMBA units of study for the administrations of medicines.
Work at this level requires 3 years post registration experience.
Relevant qualification and/or training in area of advanced practice.
Qualification in Leadership, Management or Education is desirable.
